Her Favorite Chair!!

She cracks me up!! She loves this chair so much! She will grab a book and sit down and flip through the pages or grab a can of soda and pretend to drink it while watching tv! ha ha Just like mommy and daddy!!

My Creative Juices!

On Tuesday we had a contest at school called Academy Artistic. We got to chose a model, do their hair for free, and then create a look based on the theme "African Safari". So I colored and highlighted my cousin's hair... then decided to make her into an Antelope! Alot of people thought it was a gazelle but I thought it was really cool! It turned out to be really fun! It took all day to create this look! Luckily the antlers were removable so her neck wouldn't break off!! They took professional pictures and I'm excited to see how they turn out!

The final look! In the afternoon they got all of the non-participating students out of their classes and they all voted for their favorite. I won 3rd! go me! The top 5 students had their professional pictures sent into a few magazines! I hope my antelope makes it in!
Some of the other models...

This is Bird that won 1st place!! My closest friend at school did this model!! it was amazing!!

After I made her look like an animal, and then took off all the makeup and washed all the gunk out of her hair... we decided to cut it! She looks so cute as a blonde!! I love you Kerianne! You rock!!

In memory of Eldon J Barney

JT's grandfather Eldon Barney passed away on March 31, 2008, one day after his 81st birthday. He did not die of old age as most would think, he died due to an accident on his farm. He worked on his farm almost every day of his life. On saturday March 29th he was out branding cattle and one of the cows got loose and charged grandpa. He was knocked to the ground and hit his head on a concrete block. Due to this blow to the head his brain started bleeding in 4 different areas. They took him by helicopter to a hospital in Tucson, AZ and tried their best to save him. They put him into a drug-induced coma and tried to drain the bleeding off of his brain the best they could. They couldn't stop the bleeding and they were sure that if they were to take him out of the coma he would be brain dead and become a vegetable. JT and I flew out on Sunday afternoon and said goodbye to him that night. It was the first time that his whole family was together in over a year. On monday afternoon they decided that it was time to take him off the life support and let him go. He passed at 9pm that night and his funeral was this past Monday. We are sad that we couldn't make it down again for the funeral.
Eldon Barney was a HUGE part of his family! JT talked about him all the time and is a better husband because of the things his grandfather taught him. I'm so grateful for that wonderful man! I know he is with his father in heaven now and recieving all of the blessings that he deserves!!
While dancing on our wedding day, JT told me that his grandpa always promised that he would dance on his wedding day. It had always been a joke between them. I walked over to grandpa and said,"My husband tells me that you promised you would dance with him on his wedding day!!" He laughed and got up... went over to JT and started dancing with him... ha ha not exactly what we had in mind but it's one memory that we will never forget!!
One of JT's favorite stories about him was when he was younger and one of the cows on the farm was delivering a calf. The calf got stuck on the way out and so they were doing everything to get the calf out and save the mother. Grandpa said after trying and trying, "It got screwed in there screw it out!!" ha ha ha JT thinks that is sooo funny!!
